Job Summary
Provide inpatient psychiatric care for adult patients on a 48-bed licensed behavioral health unit. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations and managing medications for adults requiring acute inpatient psychiatric treatment, within a 14-day on/off schedule and call coverage. Clinic hours are included in the schedule; a locum tenens assignment with 40-hour weeks on-site in Indiana. Collaboration with 1 psychiatrist and 2 inpatient NPs; focus on delivering structured inpatient psychiatric services in a dedicated inpatient environment.
Required Qualifications
- MD degree
- Board Certification (Negotiable)
- Inpatient psychiatric experience with adult patients
- Inpatient psychiatry experience preferred
- Inpatient unit oversight or collaboration with NP staff
- Ability to provide evaluations and medication management in an acute setting
- Full-time availability (40 hours)
- On-site work in Indiana (Plainfield area)
