Psychiatrist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Near Carson,California

Job Summary
Conduct outpatient psychiatric coverage for patients of all ages, managing 10-12 follow-ups and 2-4 intakes daily with a focus on substance abuse prevention, individual and family therapy, and medication management. Complete clinical notes within 24-48 hours using the EXYM EMR, prioritizing prompt documentation. Deliver in-person sessions with support staff assistance, though a hybrid model of 1-2 times monthly is acceptable. Schedule includes two days per week between Tuesday and Thursday from 9AM to 5PM, totaling 16 hours. This role supports a facility founded on occupational therapy principles that emphasizes meaningful activities for life skills development and job readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certification Required: Negotiable
- EMR is EXYM
- Must work both days of the week between Tues, Wed, and Thursday
- Must be tech-savvy
- Must complete notes promptly (24-48 hrs.)
- Must be available for in-person coverage
- Must be available for hybrid schedule (1-2 times per mo.)
- Must be able to handle 10-12 follow ups, 2-4 intakes
- Must be able to perform substance abuse prevention & intervention
- Must be able to perform individual & family therapy
- Must be able to perform medication management
- Must be able to perform school based services
- Must be able to perform FSP services
