Job Summary
Provide high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care to adults in an outpatient setting within an academic medical center, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and engaging in clinical education. Serve as a clinical educator by teaching psychiatry residents and medical students through direct supervision, didactics, and clinical consultation. Participate in team and staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and opportunities for academic development and scholarly activity. This full-time faculty opportunity supports a collaborative care continuum including partial hospital programs, inpatient services, and emergency Department acute psychiatry, with institutional support for faculty appointment and relocation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School
- Completion of internship and psychiatric residency and/or fellowship training
- Current or eligible licensure as a physician by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine
- Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or be eligible for examination by the American Board as documented by written evidence
- Board Certified or board eligible in general psychiatry
- Current DEA Registration Certificate
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in adult outpatient psychiatry and treating patients with complex mental illnesses
- Enthusiasm for medical education and mentorship, with a commitment to teaching and learning in a diverse academic environment
