Job Summary
Psychiatrist needed for an on-site, 32-40 hour/week locum-tenens assignment in a county-operated outpatient behavioral health clinic serving adults in Southern California. Responsibilities include comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care for adults with serious mental illness, 90-minute initial evaluations and 60-minute medication management visits, and clinical documentation using the myAVATAR EMR. Work Monday through Friday during day shifts with no telehealth option; credentialing typically completes in 3-5 weeks. Case load approximately 10-12 patients per day; support staff available; primary patient population: adults. Location is on-site in California county settings (Fresno County and San Bernardino County areas referenced).
