Psychiatrist (MD/DO) - Part-time Inpatient Psychiatrist

Part-Time Independent Contractor Psychiatrist provides direct inpatient psychiatric care within an inpatient hospital setting. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive initial psychiatric evaluations, ongoing medication management, face-to-face assessments with same-day documentation, serving as primary clinical decision-maker on medications and level of care, managing crises, and ensuring medical necessity and regulatory-compliant documentation. Collaborates with NPs/APPs, participates in interdisciplinary rounds, and ensures adherence to hospital policies, Title 22 regulations, and LACDMH requirements. Requires on-site presence, 2 days/week (Monday–Friday schedule), 8 hours per day, 100% on-site inpatient coverage, and supervision/mentorship within an inpatient psychiatric team.
