Job Summary
Provide specialist psychiatric assessment, consultation, and management for patients with Intellectual Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Deliver consultation-liaison services to community and inpatient teams while participating in service development and quality improvement initiatives. Lead clinical work within a multidisciplinary team and offer teaching, supervision, and mentoring of junior medical staff. This role is based at a major regional Queensland hospital servicing over 200,000 people, offering the opportunity to establish private practice alongside public appointments.
Required Qualifications
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) or equivalent specialist qualification
- Specialist Registration, or eligibility for Specialist Registration, with AHPRA
Desired Qualifications
- Interest and/or experience working with patients with Intellectual Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Strong multidisciplinary collaboration skills
