Job Summary
Provide psychiatric assessments and ongoing medication management for referred developmentally disabled patients with mental health needs in outpatient settings via telehealth or in-office. Collaborate with the medical director, nurses, clinicians and case managers to support client-centered care; review data and laboratory results; prepare detailed assessments, diagnoses, and treatment summaries; develop individualized mental health treatment plans in collaboration with clinical staff; document in the electronic health record; provide expert input to families and caregivers; participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities; and prepare legal or court-related reports when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified or eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- Eligible to prescribe medications (including controlled substances)
- MD/DO degree or equivalent
- Qualified to provide reimbursable services under Medicare/Medi-Cal/Regional Centers and County Mental Health
