Job Summary
Provide outpatient and reception psychiatric services within a male correctional facility in Chipley, FL. Full-time role with day shift (Monday-Friday) and rotational on-call every 6-8 weeks; duties include psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment, clinical leadership of a multidisciplinary team, and collaboration under the Psychiatric Medical Director. NHSC loan repayment is available for qualified candidates. Must hold MD or DO, Florida license, board certification in psychiatry, and active DEA registration; must complete residency, maintain CPR and TB documentation, and be eligible for security clearance where applicable; minimum 2 years of clinical experience and 2 years of supervisory experience; correctional mental health experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO
- completion of accredited residency program
- Current license to practice medicine in Florida
- Board Certification in Psychiatry
- Active DEA registration certificate
- Current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification
- Able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as psychiatrist in a clinical setting
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting
- Experience in correctional mental health care or locked unit preferred
- Full-time availability
- Day shift (Monday-Friday)
- Participation in rotational on-call schedule
