Job Summary
Overnight Attending Psychiatrist to lead and manage patients in the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) and Emergency Department (ED) at Stony Brook University Hospital. Role includes psychiatric evaluation and management, teaching and supervision of medical students and residents, and an academic appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor. Schedule consists of four 10-hour overnight shifts per week (10:30pm–8:30am) with weekend coverage, holidays, and cross-coverage as needed, totaling 40 hours weekly. Salary starts at $332,000 annually and includes eligibility for quarterly production incentive bonuses, with comprehensive benefits and SUNY NY State Pension options.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO (or foreign equivalent)
- New York State license or eligibility
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Adult Psychiatry
- Special Notes: Non-Tenure Track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for overtime provisions. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
