Job Summary
The Psychiatrist for Child and Adolescent Inpatient Services will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, admission assessments, and physical examinations while developing individualized treatment plans. Responsibilities include providing medication management, conducting individual and group therapies, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Candidates must possess an active Maryland medical license, board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry, and completion of a psychiatry residency.
Required Qualifications
- Active medical license in the state of Maryland (or eligibility)
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry, with additional certification or fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- Maryland Controlled Substances Registration and valid DEA Certificate
- Completion of a psychiatry residency training program
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Desired Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in an acute psychiatric or behavioral health setting
- Experience working with children and adolescents in inpatient or partial hospitalization programs
