Job Summary
Provide psychiatric care on a 24-bed adolescent inpatient unit, including reviewing medical information to ensure patient stability and completing clinical documentation. Collaborate with clinicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans while maintaining appropriate confidential documentation and billing compliance. Work within medical protocols defined by federal, state, and corporate policies to ensure the highest standards of physical health and care for patients. Full-time, 40-hour work week with an average caseload of 12 patients per day and call responsibilities with additional pay.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry", "DEA Waiver required", "Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required", "Current license to practice medicine, by the state in which the facility(s) operates", "Board certification or certificate of admissibility for board certification in a behavioral health specialty", "Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working
Desired Qualifications
- One or more years' experience as a staff physician with the population served by the facility preferred
