Job Summary
Provide outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services to clients during scheduled weekday hours. Assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with behavioral health disorders while prescribing, recommending, and discontinuing appropriate treatments. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, guardians, and relatives to ensure quality care, and examine or order diagnostic tests for physical and mental conditions. Maintain timely and accurate medical records, including progress notes, outcome measures, and billing entries. Adhere to social distancing, PPE, and infection protocols. Complete 24 CME credits per cycle and maintain New York State licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree conferred by an accredited college or university
- Board Certification
- New York State licensure
- 24 Continued Medical Education (CME) credits per credentialing cycle (2 years)
- Healthcare Provider CPR/AED Certification
- Prior experience with IDD/ASD population
- Experience with community healthcare operations and familiarity with Federally Qualified Health Care organizations
- Strong ability to support the Medical Director to provide excellent quality of care to patients
- Strong oral, written, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party billing requirements
- Knowledge of relevant federal and state regulatory requirements
- National Provider Identifier
Desired Qualifications
- Child/adolescent or geriatric experience
- Familiarity and ability to efficiently navigate EHR
- Experience with ECW
