Job Summary
Provide outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services to clients during scheduled weekday hours. Assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with behavioral health disorders by prescribing and discontinuing appropriate treatments. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, guardians, and relatives on client conditions while participating in monthly meetings. Examine or order diagnostic tests for physical and mental disorders and ensure timely, accurate completion of medical records, billing entries, and progress notes. Adhere to social distancing, PPE, and infection protocols. Maintain New York State licensure, board certification, and 24 CME credits per cycle.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree conferred by an accredited college or university
- Board Certification
- New York State licensure
- 24 Continued Medical Education (CME) credits per credentialing cycle (2 years)
- Healthcare Provider CPR/AED Certification
- Prior experience with IDD/ASD population
- Experience with community healthcare operations and familiarity with Federally Qualified Health Care organizations
- Strong ability to support the Medical Director to provide excellent quality of care to patients
- Strong oral, written, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party billing requirements
- Knowledge of relevant federal and state regulatory requirements
- National Provider Identifier

- Familiarity and ability to efficiently navigate EHR
- Experience with ECW
- Child/adolescent or geriatric experience
