Job Summary
Conduct medication evaluations, psychiatric assessments, and ongoing medication management for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Work with multidisciplinary staff to evaluate, triage, and coordinate care for assigned clients while providing direct medical services within the scope of State care. Share 24-hour on-call responsibilities for residential, outpatient, and emergency care, and maintain telephone availability for emergency patient evaluations. Provide utilization review, consultation on difficult cases, and mentorship for fellows, residents, and early-career clinicians. Document patient care accurately and attend team meetings as necessary. Full-time role with flexible 4- or 5-day workweeks, including a hybrid option of remote work and two office days. Requires Colorado MD or DO license, DEA, and successful completion of psychiatry residency. Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine / Osteopathy
- Successful completion of an accredited residency training program in psychiatry (DO/MDs only)
- Residency in psychiatry (DO/MDs only)
- Colorado Medical License or Valid Prescriptive Authority in good standing
- Valid and Current DEA
- Required Vaccination and TB Test
- Annual influenza (flu) shot
- Negative TB test result
