Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adult inpatient admissions, daily follow-ups, and discharge planning. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic psychiatric conditions using evidence-based practices, including psychopharmacologic management. Develop individualized treatment plans, monitor medication effectiveness and side effects, and provide crisis intervention during stabilization and de-escalation. Collaborate with nursing, social work, psychology, and primary care to participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and care coordination. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record while adhering to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards. This role supports the multidisciplinary clinical team at Tower Behavioral Health's inpatient psychiatric hospital in Reading, Pennsylvania, focusing on recovery-oriented care for adults with mood, psychotic, and substance-related disorders.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the state(s) in which Tower Behavioral Health operates
- Board‐certified or board‐eligible in Psychiatry
- Current, unrestricted DEA registration

- Prior experience providing care in an adult inpatient or acute psychiatric hospital setting
- Experience working within multidisciplinary treatment teams
- Familiarity with regulatory and accrediting standards for inpatient psychiatric services
