Addiction Psychiatrist to join KernBHRS in Kern County, CA. Responsibilities include comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for patients with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health conditions; design and oversee medication-assisted treatment plans (buprenorphine, naltrexone, extended-release injectables) with DEA-compliant monitoring; lead weekly case consultations with multidisciplinary teams; serve as attending physician supervising Addiction Medicine Fellows and contributing to curriculum development for the UCLA-Kern Fellowship Program; provide didactic training on motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, and harm reduction; coordinate outpatient and crisis stabilization services; requires active California Medical License, ABPN certification, and board certification or board eligibility in Addiction Psychiatry. The role may involve supervising fellows and participating as an attending in the Addiction Fellowship Program, with a salary of $230 per hour and full-time scheduling options.
