Job Summary
Psychiatrist for the ACT program to provide direct psychiatric care, clinical supervision, and medical leadership within a collaborative, mission-driven team. Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluations, medication management and monitoring for side effects, participating in daily ACT team and treatment planning meetings, supervising NPs/PAs, overseeing medical care with nursing staff, developing and implementing medication administration policies, educating non-medical team members about psychiatric and non-psychiatric medications, providing brief therapy, and serving as psychiatric back-up to the program. Compensation is salaried with a range based on licensure, education, and experience (NC). Location-driven duties are centered in Murphy, NC with in-person clinical responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- Licensed to practice in North Carolina (NC)
- Credentialing and qualifications as specified in NCAC 27G .0104(16)
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
