Job Summary
Assess individualized patient needs and provide nursing care using a Family Centered approach on the Neurobehavior Unit. Communicate care priorities to LPNs, PCAs, unit coordinators, and allied health personnel while utilizing therapeutic communication to monitor physical, psychological, and social needs. Plan, implement, educate, and evaluate care using Evidence-Based Practices, documenting according to organizational standards. Delegate and oversee developmentally appropriate patient care to ensure rapid, safe transitions through the episode of care. Engage in quality improvement activities, data collection, and staff meetings to report updates. Float to other Behavioral Health nursing units as directed. Requires current Ohio RN license, BSN or commitment to obtain within five years, and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
- Current CPR certification
- Willingness to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other necessary certification
- Willingness to float to other Behavioral Health nursing units as needed
- Availability for every other Saturday & Sunday
- Commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
