Job Summary
The Psychiatric Social Worker II will provide real-time clinical consultation and crisis support to community providers, conduct field-based clinical crisis assessments, and utilize clinical de-escalation strategies for clients at risk of psychiatric destabilization. This role includes assessing and managing clients in crisis, coordinating with hospitals and agencies for crisis response, and documenting clinical information accurately. The position requires a Master's Degree in Social Work, LCSW licensure, and specific skills in crisis intervention and community mental health. Candidates should have experience with severe mental illness and trauma-informed care.
Required Qualifications
- Currently LPS Certified or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire
- A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate school
- An active and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- A valid California Class C Driver License
- Successful clearance through the Live Scan and Health Clearance processes
Desired Qualifications
- Experience/expertise in assessing and managing clients with dysfunctional substance use disorder (SUD)
- Experience/expertise in assessing and managing clients with severe persistent mental illness
- Experience/expertise in trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles
- Familiarity with DMH, DPH and community mental health, substance use, housing/homelessness programs and resources
