Job Summary
Provide in-home mental health crisis intervention and psychosocial assessments for children, adolescents, and families in the Bronx, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop short-term service plans. Deliver outreach services to mentally ill individuals in the community, conduct psychosocial evaluations, create and execute short-term plans, respond to dispatch calls within two hours, and serve as a liaison to community agencies. May provide clinical supervision for Mental Health Technician, graduate Social Worker students, or junior staff Social Workers. Requires LMSW in NYS and relevant clinical experience; position emphasizes care management, family collaboration, and connecting clients to resources to maintain community-based living.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration to practice as a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York State Required as determined by operational/regional needs
- Valid driver's license may be required
- Minimum of one year experience as a Social Worker in a health care setting required as determined by operational needs, bilingual skills may be required
- Master’s degree in social work after successfully completing a prescribed course of study at a graduate school of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and the Education Dept
