Job Summary
Assume responsibility over major component of social services at Richmond State Hospital, including all community programs or all clinical services. Evaluate treatment plan formulation and effectiveness, supervise admissions activities (ROIs, biopsychosocial assessments, clinical interviews, admission notes), inform patients of their rights, coordinate Monthly Treatment Plan Updates, execute treatment through private consultations and group interventions, refer patients to therapeutic groups, participate in daily multidisciplinary huddles, and serve as a liaison to external agencies. Coordinate discharge processes, assist with applications for SSI/SSDI and Medicaid, manage patient logistics, and support supervisory duties for staff. Requires knowledge of psychiatric social work, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (preferred) with mental health field experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in a Human Service related field (i.e. social work, sociology, psychology, human services, or criminal justice) along with experience in the mental health field preferred.
