Job Summary
Provide psychiatric nursing services in residential, crisis, and community-based programs. Collaborate with psychiatrists and care teams to coordinate treatment and conduct health assessments. Administer and monitor medications, respond to emergencies, and participate in treatment planning. Maintain documentation and compliance with HIPAA. May supervise LPNs and participate in on-call coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Active State of Michigan RN Licensure
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Four or more years of psychiatric nursing experience, preferred
- Knowledge of recovery-based care
- Motivational Interviewing expertise
- Familiarity with Stages of Change
- Understanding of Trauma-Informed Care
- Experience with Seeking Safety and Family Psychoeducation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Comfort using Microsoft Office Suite and electronic systems
- Demonstrated professionalism and emotional maturity
