Job Summary
Inpatient Psychiatric RN needed at New Hampshire Hospital (Concord/Franklin, NH) to deliver direct patient care in a secure inpatient behavioral health unit. Responsibilities include psychiatric and physical assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications, crisis intervention, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. The role requires supervising LPNs/CNAs when appropriate, maintaining compliant medical documentation, educating patients and families, ensuring safety and HIPAA compliance, and testifying as needed. Requires direct inpatient psychiatric nursing experience and NH RN licensure (or NH-eligible compact license). Shift options across multiple day/evening/night blocks under a 13-week contract with potential extensions; contract-type position is 1099 Independent Contractor.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact RN license eligible for NH practice
- Minimum two years of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- No pending or prior disciplinary action on RN licensure
- Experience working in acute psychiatric or behavioral health facilities
- English proficiency
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Ability to pass State of New Hampshire background screening
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds
