Job Summary
Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and medication management for incarcerated individuals; may also deliver Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders within licensed scope; collaborate with medical, nursing, behavioral health, and MAT program staff; document all encounters in the medical record; participate in CQI activities, peer reviews, and case conferences; ensure compliance with policies, NCCHC standards, and applicable laws; support discharge planning and continuity of care for patients receiving MAT.
Required Qualifications
- Active New Mexico license as: MD/DO Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- DEA registration with authority to prescribe controlled substances, as applicable
