Job Summary
The Psychiatric Nursing Assistant I (PNA I) performs entry-level to routine rehabilitative patient services under clinical supervision to provide quality psychiatric nursing care in an inpatient setting. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, observing and documenting patient conditions in an electronic record, participating in individualized and unit-based recovery plans, providing verbal and supportive documentation to the recovery team, and assisting the licensed nurse with monitoring patients, medication administration, and treatment within competency. The role involves crisis response, de-escalation, CPR/AED procedures, endorsement of safety practices, and participation in disaster/recovery or COOP activities as needed. Required skills include therapeutic, person-centered communication, teamwork, basic computer/documentation abilities, and the ability to work under supervision. Certifications and checks include CPR eligibility, immunization compliance, background checks, and license-related requirements for transportation if applicable.
Required Qualifications
