Job Summary
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner needed to provide on-site psychiatry services at the Onondaga County Correctional Facility in Jamesville, NY and the Onondaga County Justice Center in Syracuse, NY. Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday across two facilities. Responsibilities include delivering psychiatric care within a correctional health care setting, leveraging PMHNP training to support primary, urgent, emergency, and addiction medicine needs for an underserved population. Compensation $130,000–$150,000 annually with a $20,000 sign-on bonus, company-paid malpractice with tail, comprehensive benefits (medical/dental/vision), PTO/Sick Leave, annual licensure reimbursement, and CME support. Requires NP program graduation, PMHNP board certification, NY medical license, DEA, CPR/BLS, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Board Certified in Psychiatric Mental Health.
- Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York.
- Maintain current DEA license.
- Maintain active BLS (i.e. CPR) certification.
- Maintain current Driver’s License.
