Job Summary
Provide psychiatric and medical assessments across adolescent to adult patients, diagnose psychiatric disorders, conduct individual psychotherapy, prescribe psychotropic medications, order diagnostic tests (e.g., EKGs, labs), monitor medication effects, and educate patients and families. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, develop and evaluate treatment plans, ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation in the EHR, and support telehealth delivery. Requires PMHNP license, 2 years of NP experience, experience in addiction/mental health, and ability to work with patients across the lifespan; Spanish-speaking a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health
- Open to obtaining additional state licensures
- Motivational Interviewing experience
- Willingness to work in partnership with the client to achieve goals
- Must have experience working with adults in need of general mental health and/or severe mental illness (SMI) treatment
- Must have experience and comfort working with patients across the lifespan (ages 13+) Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and/or substance abuse dual-diagnoses.
- Treatment planning
- Ability to conduct and utilize comprehensive assessments
- Timely and quality documentation; experience with EHRs
- Adaptable to technology including telehealth software; comfortable with video communication
- Awareness of and compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2

- For clinicians holding a Florida or New York license, an active DEA registration is required and must be obtained and maintained by the clinician.
