Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner role providing psychiatric care and management for adolescents to adults in a remote setting. Responsibilities include comprehensive mental health assessments, diagnosing psychiatric disorders, administering psychotherapy, prescribing psychotropic medications (including controlled substances), interpreting diagnostic tests (e.g., EKGs, labs), and educating patients and families. Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, detailed documentation in EHRs, adherence to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, and ensuring follow-up care. Requires PMHNP license, 2 years NP experience, experience in addiction and mental health, and willingness to obtain additional licensure; telehealth experience and Spanish-speaking skills are a plus. Salary range $125,000-$135,000; full-time, remote-friendly schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- 2 years experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health
- Open to obtaining additional state licensures
- Motivational Interviewing experience
- Willingness to work with clients across the lifespan (ages 13+)
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and/or substance abuse dual-diagnoses
- Treatment planning
- Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments
- Timely documentation with EHRs
- HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 compliance
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Active DEA registration for FL or NY license holders
