Job Summary
As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) for Community Health and Behavioral Services, you will provide medical and psychiatric care within an integrated behavioral healthcare model for mental health and substance use disorders. Key responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, providing clinical treatment recommendations, conducting Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT), and collaborating with treatment teams. Ideal candidates will possess relevant nursing credentials, a current NYS Nurse Practitioner license, and demonstrate skills in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention.
Required Qualifications
- Possess all appropriate coursework and credentials consistent with New York State Education Department requirements for the designation of Nurse Practitioner
- Current New York State License as a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry (NPP) preferred; current NY state license as a Family Nurse Practitioner with specialized skillset considered
- Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License
