Job Summary
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for Outpatient Mental Health at Upstate Caring Partners in Utica, NY. Provides medical and psychiatric care within an integrated behavioral health model, including Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) for SUD, psychiatric evaluations, pharmacologic management, lab interpretation, and collaboration with the Treatment Team and supervising psychiatrist. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive Psychiatric and SUD evaluations, initiating and coordinating MAT, waiving-prescription requirements for buprenorphine, supervising staff as assigned, participating in Quality Improvement activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Preferred trauma-informed care, substance use treatment expertise, crisis intervention, and adolescent psychiatry skills. Requires NYS NP license in Psychiatry or Family NP with psychiatric specialization and a valid NYS Driver’s License. Location: Utica, NY, USA.
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State License as a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry (NPP) preferred; current NY state license as a Family Nurse Practitioner with specialized skillset considered
- Possess all appropriate coursework and credentials consistent with New York State Education Department requirements for the designation of Nurse Practitioner
- Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License
