Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP/FNP/AGNP/PA-C)

Job Summary
Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities; assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms; diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans; apply medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments; staff clinical cases with psychiatrists; responsibilities located in Phoenix, AZ within a Short Term Care facility setting; collaboration with licensed Psychiatrists; requires Arizona license as PMHNP/FNP/AGNP or PA-C and DEA registration; bilingual Spanish a plus; billable hourly compensation model with W2 or Independent Contractor options; benefits include PTO, holidays, 401k with company match, and comprehensive insurance options.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in Arizona by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry
- Licensed by the Arizona Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA)
- Possession of Malpractice Insurance if Independent Contractor (offered by the company for W2 employees)
- 1 year of Geri Psych Experience
- 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals
- Basic computer knowledge
- Experience with EMR/EHR Systems (Athena I, a plus)
- Excellent written communication
- Attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Flexible, organized and functions under stressful situations
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus!
