Job Summary
Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapy to patients with mental health disorders. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and document care in electronic medical records. Offer education and support to patients and families, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to psychiatric care. Requires Master’s-level training (nursing or PA) with active licensure as a NP or PA and board- certification in psychiatric practice; strong communication, teamwork, and clinical documentation skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies
- Current state licensure as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
- Certification as a psychiatric nurse practitioner or physician assistant
- Experience in psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records
