Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate

Job Summary
Diagnose, treat, and prevent mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders by prescribing medications, administering psychotherapeutic treatments, and formulating individualized treatment programs. Develop and maintain therapeutic client relationships while assessing symptoms, managing immediate crises, and implementing intervention plans when necessary. Thoroughly document diagnoses, treatments, and coding for evaluation and management, ensuring accurate notes and timely submissions. Order laboratory and diagnostic tests, evaluate data, and collaborate with clients, guardians, and other providers on treatment direction. Participate in service utilization audits, peer reviews, and quality assurance activities, while facilitating referrals and providing consultation services within the agency and to community partners.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program and completion of psychiatric specialty program
- Physician Associate Studies from an accredited program
- Board certification
- Active, unrestricted Oregon professional license with prescriptive privileges
- Current DEA registration
- Professional liability insurance coverage
- Medicare provider enrollment for Options through CMS
- Proficiency with a variety of software applications
- Valid OR driver's license
- Satisfactory driving record
- Ability to work independently and flexibly, under general supervision
- Must pass state-required background and DMV checks
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual skills (Spanish) with certification of a language proficiency test approved by the Oregon Health Authority that meets a proficiency level of 'Intermediate High' or 'Low Intermediate+'
