Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnose and manage behavioral health conditions, and develop evidence-based treatment plans for adult and geriatric residents. Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications while collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and families to participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning. Provide trauma-informed care, educate residents and caregivers, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. This full-time role features a predictable weekday schedule with no weekend work and competitive compensation. Required Qualifications
- Board-certified PMHNP-BC or Physician Assistant
- significant psychiatric experience
- Active and unrestricted New York professional license
- Active DEA registration
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, psychopharmacology and treatment planning
- Ability to manage a psychiatric caseload independently
- Excellent communication, organization and clinical-reasoning skills
Desired Qualifications
- Geriatric, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care or post-acute experience
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
