Job Summary
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) needed for locum-tenens coverage in an on-site 16-bed acute psychiatric stabilization unit for children and adolescents in Gordon, GA. Responsibilities include comprehensive acute psychiatric care, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and daily follow-ups for mood disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and suicidal ideation. Expect approximately one admission and one discharge per day; initial psychiatric evaluations within 24 hours of admission; maintain accurate clinical documentation; collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Medical Director, Psychiatry Resident, therapists, case management, and program leadership in a team-based model focused on acute stabilization and crisis intervention.
