Job Summary
Conduct psychiatric evaluations, safety assessments, and medication management for clients with Substance Use Disorders and co-occurring disorders. Prescribe and administer MAT medications including buprenorphine and Vivitrol, while reviewing lab and pharmacogenetic testing results. Provide both in-person and telehealth services, participating in clinical meetings and case conferences to develop personalized care plans. Assist during crisis situations and coordinate follow-up care as needed. Work part-time, 1-2 days per week from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Psychiatric APRN program
- Current licensure in New York State as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
- Board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Current and valid DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in psychiatric nursing and/or addiction treatment
- Proficient in administering Sublocade (subcutaneous) and Vivitrol (intramuscular) injections
- Experience prescribing buprenorphine and other MAT medications
- Fully vaccinated for Covid-19 (including regularly scheduled boosters) and the Flu as recommended by the CDC
Desired Qualifications
- Specialized training or advanced experience in addiction medicine and co-occurring disorder treatment
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, including medication documentation and UR requirements
- Experience with telehealth platforms and delivering virtual psychiatric care
- Comfort with interdisciplinary team collaboration in a behavioral health setting
