Job Summary
Provide medically necessary psychiatric services to adult and geriatric patients in acute care (75-90%) and outpatient/long-term settings under a collaborating Psychiatrist. Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluation, care and treatment, case management within prescribed guidelines, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, ensuring documentation for billing and continuity of care, maintaining prescriptive authority, coordinating with interdisciplinary team and facility administration, monitoring quality indicators, and credentialing for major insurance reimbursement. Requires active licensure, ongoing continuing education, travel as needed, and flexible hours.
Required Qualifications
- Registered nurse who is master prepared and currently licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the state in which practice will occur.
- Current accreditation from a national certification organization with psychiatric board certification.
- Current CPR Certification
- Current State Driver’s license
- Current Auto liability Insurance according to Company Policy
