Job Summary
Conduct psychiatric evaluations, including intake assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients in PHP and IOP programs. Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications while monitoring effectiveness and side effects. Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and psychiatrists to coordinate holistic care, provide crisis intervention, and participate in clinical team meetings and case reviews. Document all patient interactions in accordance with agency policies and educate patients and families on treatment options. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practices and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards. This role requires a Master's degree in Nursing, PMHNP-BC certification, and current unrestricted licensure, with at least one year of medication prescribing experience. The position is part-time, fully benefits eligible, and located onsite in Medford, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or Physician Assistant
- Current, unrestricted state licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Minimum one year of experience prescribing medication
- Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses, psychiatric medications, and treatment modalities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
- Ability to work with diverse populations and demonstrate cultural competence
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused approach to care
- Ability to manage complex cases and respond effectively to crisis situations
- Willingness to provide formal clinical supervision to associate-level clinicians as part of Guidelight's supervision program
