Job Summary
Provide outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adults, adolescents, and children with behavioral health disorders. Assess, diagnose, and treat clients while prescribing or discontinuing drugs in accordance with the NYS Nurse Practice Act. Examine or order diagnostic tests to evaluate physical and mental conditions, then maintain accurate medical records, progress notes, and billing entries. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, participate in monthly meetings, and educate guardians on treatment plans. Adhere to infection protocols and PPE requirements. Requires a Master's in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, 3-5 years of experience, NYS licensure, and RNP certification.
Required Qualifications
- Nursing degree conferred by an accredited college or university
- Masters degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing
- Minimum of 3-5 years of post-certification experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- New York State licensure
- Twenty-four (24) Continued Medical Education (CME) credits per credentialing cycle two- (2) years
- Healthcare Provider CPR/AED Certification
- Strong oral, written, and organizational skills
- Ability to independently and efficiently navigate EHR
- National Provider Identifier
- RNP – National Certification
