Job Summary
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in Toms River, NJ, to provide in-person and telemedicine psychiatric assessments and ongoing care for adolescents and adults. Responsible for conducting intakes and follow-ups in person every 90 days, prescribing medications as needed, developing and updating care plans, and adhering to Thriveworks' clinical practice guidelines. Requires board-certified PMHNP with state licensure and prescriptive authority; Master’s in Nursing; AMD EMR experience a plus; 3 years of experience preferred with at least 1 year in psychiatry. Role involves 25–35 clinical hours per week on a fee-for-service (W2) basis, with compensation ranging $141K-$203K annually, and opportunities for a ramp stipend for clinicians offering 30+ hours per week. Flexible schedule with telemedicine support, a diverse patient population, and ongoing professional development; no client quotas. The team emphasizes safe prescribing practices, ADHD treatment standards, and collaborative care with regional directors.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certification required
- Master's in Nursing with active prescriptive authority required in the state
- Understanding of AdvancedMD (AMD) EMR is a plus
- Three years of experience is a plus; 1 year of psychiatry practice is required
- Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners need to be licensed and live in the state in which they will be practicing
- Willingness to treat clients age 14 and up
