Job Summary
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team across DESC’s Crisis Respite Program (1 day/week) and STAR shelter (4 days/week). Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, establishing treatment plans, prescribing and monitoring medications (including opioid-use disorder treatment), coordinating care within a multidisciplinary team, participating in program meetings and trainings, providing crisis intervention, and supporting ongoing longitudinal care. Ideal candidates will have PMHNP-BC, WA licensure with prescriptive authority, DEA registration, experience with co-occurring disorders, and willingness to collaborate with diverse staff; familiarity with harm-reduction principles and buprenorphine prescribing is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Washington State Department of Health license as a Psychiatric Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority (WAC 246-840-410) in good standing
- Master's degree in Nursing, Psychiatric
- PMHNP-BC board certification
- Drug Enforcement Administration registration
- Advanced knowledge and experience prescribing psychiatric medications
