Job Summary
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner needed to provide psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and manage mental health care for patients in an addiction treatment facility. Requires MS in Nursing and APRN license, BLS, and 5+ years of experience. Responsibilities include primary care for patients in outpatient SUD treatment at varying levels of care, performing examinations, ordering tests, interpreting results, documenting in EMR, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, developing evidence-based treatment plans, prescribing medications, and monitoring responses. Must be able to adapt to changing schedules and take on additional responsibilities within the addiction-treatment team. Benefits include full-time hours (30+ per week) with comprehensive offerings.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license
- BLS certification (will train upon hire)
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience coordinating care for patients with co-occurring behavioral health and substance use disorders
- Proficiency in electronic health record management and documentation
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications
- Knowledge of medications and treatment models for substance use and mental health disorders
- Competence in crisis intervention and conflict management
- Proficiency with Microsoft & Google products
