Job Summary
Perform complete initial psychiatric evaluations to determine diagnoses and develop care plans, including medication prescriptions when indicated. Revise and implement therapeutic regimens using an interdisciplinary approach while monitoring patient progress and communicating with the treatment team. Provide timely documentation for each encounter and ensure patient and family education regarding clinical conditions and care aspects. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure quality care for children and adolescents in our Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs. Maintain required continuing education and preferred development activities.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed or possess the ability to obtain license as an Advance Practiced Nurse in the State of Wisconsin
- ANCC National Board Certification in Psychiatry- PMHNP Certification
- Prescriptive Authority
- DEA license
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin
- DNP or MSN from an accredited Nursing Program
- CPR certified
- Experience with patients in crisis
- 4-5 years' experience prescribing
- Experience with multiple specialties including mood and anxiety, mental health and substance use, OCD and complex anxiety, and trauma
