Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary
Diagnose and treat mental health and emotional disorders while providing comprehensive, integrated care to patients. Maintain detailed records of visits and progress, then prepare assigned cases for Medical Director review. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and educate patients and families about mental health topics. Adhere to all city, state, federal laws, the Employee Handbook, and HIPAA regulations regarding confidential information. Attend required team, individual, and agency training and meetings. This contract position in Dallas County requires up to 65% local travel with employees responsible for their own transportation and mileage reimbursement. A valid driver's license and auto liability insurance are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas
- DEA licensure
- Valid driver's license
- Copy of current auto liability insurance
- Working phone
- Ability to frequently (up to 90% of the time) sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs
- Ability to frequently (up to 90% of the time) talk, listen and speak clearly in person and via telephone
- Ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems
- Must be able to frequently (up to 90% of the time) sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs (if an elevator is unavailable)
- Must be able to frequently (up to 90% of the time) talk, listen and speak clearly in person and via telephone
- Must be able to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs
