Job Summary
Conduct psychiatric examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, and follow-up consultations while providing health education to patients. Collaborate with behavioral health staff to identify treatment plans for at-risk individuals and participate in morning huddle calls for high-risk cases requiring multidisciplinary planning. Obtain patient histories, verify medications, review medical records, and develop comprehensive care plans using the POMR format. Coordinate patient care activities and support staff, while contributing to the development of mental health policies and procedures as indicated. Requires current state licensure, two years of correctional experience, and proficiency with electronic medical records.
Required Qualifications
- Current state license as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- Current CPR certificate
- Two (2) years of experience in psychiatric and/or correctional healthcare setting
- Proficient with electronic medical records
- Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
