Job Summary
Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness while participating in patient Master Treatment Plan formulation. Assess physical and psychiatric health, chart clinical observations, and communicate with physicians to provide quality care within state licensure guidelines. Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medication as needed, while encouraging family involvement in patient care. Provide on-call responsibilities on a scheduled basis directed by the medical staff. Support legal requirements, hospital policies, and regulatory standards to ensure patient safety remains a top priority.
Required Qualifications
- Master's in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner program
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Licensed to practice in the state in which the facility operates
- DEA license
- Clinical experience working with the patient population of the facility
- ability to demonstrate knowledge of concepts of limit setting, therapeutic boundaries, crisis management, therapeutic treatment, environment and patient care
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Practicing Nurse Practitioner
