Job Summary
Inpatient Behavioral Health nursing roles (LPN or RN) on Saturday 7:00am–7:30pm. LPNs provide direct nursing services, mental health assessments, crisis interventions, and coordinate medical care with staff and psychiatrists, including drawing blood and administering IM medications. RNs conduct health assessments, administer medications (including IM injections), coordinate care with psychiatrists and clinical staff, respond to crises, and maintain confidential clinical records. Both tracks require Colorado nursing licensure (LPN or RN) in good standing; minimum 2 years of nursing experience with behavioral health populations preferred. The position is located at 2929 W 10th Ave in the Behavioral Health Solutions Center and is an inpatient, 24/7/365 first-responder drop-off location, with salary ranges per role and language differential.
Required Qualifications
- LPN: Graduation from accredited school of nursing. Licensed as a Practical Nurse in good standing with the Board of Nursing of the State of Colorado.
- RN: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado. License must be in good standing.
- Minimum two years nursing experience; experience in a behavioral health or outpatient clinic preferred.
- Experience with the severe and persistently mentally ill or similar populations strongly preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience working with consumers with a serious and persistent mental illness preferred.
