Job Summary
The Psychiatric Nurse supports individuals with chronic mental illness through assessment and monitoring of psychiatric, medical, and social needs. This role involves medication monitoring and administration, collaborative psychiatric treatment coordination, and management of medical supplies. Essential duties include acting as a case manager, implementing care programs, providing crisis health intervention, performing psychiatric assessments, and educating agency staff on health issues. Candidates must hold a nursing license, have two years of relevant experience, and possess a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed in the state of Nebraska as an RN or a compact license
- Two years of experience in a substance abuse or mental health behavioral health setting
- Working knowledge of primary health care issues
- Valid driver’s license/ acceptable driving record
