Job Summary
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and medication management to adult patients, both in-person and via telehealth. Responsibilities include conducting psychodiagnostic evaluations, monitoring therapeutic responses, and maintaining thorough documentation. The role requires effective collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and strong clinical skills in crisis evaluation. The PMHNP must possess the ability to educate patients and families on treatment plans and wellness strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York State
- BLS Provider certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
Desired Qualifications
- Outpatient psychiatric experience preferred but not required
- Strong clinical judgment
- Communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with medication management
