Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnose and treat mental health conditions across the lifespan, and prescribe medications for children, adolescents, and adults. Develop individualized treatment plans, collaborate closely with therapists on shared clients, and provide education to families regarding medications and options. Complete documentation within 24 hours and maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations while participating in occasional team meetings. This part-time role requires two weekday evenings (Monday–Friday) with flexible daytime availability.
Required Qualifications
- Current Texas APRN license
- Board Certified PMHNP (PMHNP-BC)
- DEA License (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to prescribe controlled substances
- Strong diagnostic and clinical assessment skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable providing both in-person and telehealth services
- Availability for two weekday evenings (Monday–Friday)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Experience treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and mood disorders
- Familiarity with collaborative care models
- Interest in holistic, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care
